Veneers

If your teeth are stained, broken, or shaped in an unappealing way, porcelain veneers are a quick solution that offer dramatic results.  Veneers, made of porcelain, are custom made coverings that fit over your teeth.  Extremely strong and durable, veneers may not need to be replaced for years.

Should you choose Dr. Ward to improve your smile with veneers, you can expect the following:

1.  At your first appointment, your teeth will be prepared by the removal of a very thin layer of enamel.  Then, a set of impressions will be taken and temporary veneers will be placed. 

2.  After about two weeks, the temporary veneers will be removed, and the custom-fit permanent veneers will be bonded by a special light sensitive resin.  Finally, your veneers are polished to match your existing teeth.

You should care for your veneers just as you would your other teeth.  However, you should avoid biting on anything hard that might damage your veneers.
